Doesn't want the sidebar panel to open when clicking a provider

When double-clicking on a provider to pull up their profile, the sidebar preview panel opens every time, even though I'm not single-clicking to look at the sidebar. Then the only way to close the sidebar is to click X to close it. This is a time-waster since I'm not wanting to look at the sidebar.
