make Neos message pop ups appear over all applications and stay longer than a mere few seconds

I miss Neos messages all day if I spend 80% of my time in other applications, word, email, the web, adobe, etc... and devoting even part of one of my screens in dormant fashion just so I can try to catch the Neos message pop up is a huge waste of space...
