You should already be able to do this via advanced search and bulk edit — but you can only mass update staff assignments (including primary staff) if all the cases in your search results are the same case TYPE (since staff assignments can be different for each case type). Just add an extra search criteria for 'class code > select class' and run a search for each case type. Now when you bulk edit these, the staff assignments will be available in the "Fields" dropdown [they all begin with "(CS)"].
