Make due dates changeable on Invoices

Right now the invoices all default to 30 days for payment. The Aviation Division in our firm would prefer they pay as soon as possible so when the proper documents arrive there is no delay in reviewing them. If that is not possible maybe there is a way to make that field editable before sending out? I would brainstorm alternatives - THANKYOU!!!
