In value tab, you can create a note. It gives the option for selecting a topic, but it does not give an option to select type. This leads to more work forcing the user to return to the notes tab to add a type to the note they created.
^what this guy said. The doc linking function should apply Neos-wide--it's one of the best features.
Where you would want to add "Type" is to the Document that you're attaching to the Value Note. It would also be helpful if the attachment would stay linked to the Value Entry, so it can be referenced when issuing payment.
